Will HDTV network channels remove the black horizontal brackets that appear on the screen's sides?

Every time I watch the network channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX in HDTV, there are these black horizontal brackets that appear on the sides of the screen. Will network tv remove these eventually and present them as just as option, so you can watch programs in fullscreen, because it's a bit of a nuisance?

Did you not know that you have go to the zoom feature on your tv. Its called the aspect ratio. The normal aspect ration for HDTV is 16:9, your tv should be able to do a 16:9 zoom, try pressing the zoom button or arrows on you tv's remote.

I had my Mac since April but I want to go back to Windows because I do not like no. I miss some of the windows had things on it. I guess I am a PC.
